Abell 43 is one of a handful of challenging planetary nebula to detect in any way. Even using a sensitive CCD camera under dark skies barely hints on the intricate lace-like network of detail in this sphere of gas. This nebula has a spherical nature like that of Abell 39, and the complex structure of NGC 246. This image was taken as part of Advanced Observing Program (AOP) program at Kitt Peak Visitor Center during 2014.
